Lately I've been a little obsessed with one thing: getting AI out of the hype cycle and into people's actual businesses. Every Sunday I host the AI Implementation Club in Austin, and now virtually too, where founders and operators stop talking about AI and actually USE it. It started as a hobby. It's become one of the things I'm known for.
The other thing I'm known for? Selling companies. I've been an entrepreneur since 2003 with multiple exits of my own, and in 2021 I started The Magnolia Firm, an M&A advisory that helps founders sell remote-operable digital businesses. I wrote the book on that too. It's called Get Acquired.
Two worlds, one obsession. I love innovation. Always have. Every company I started, I started because I wanted something that didn't exist yet, and that's exactly what pulls me toward AI now.
