Yes, I'm wearing a mask again. No, it's not COVID.
I had a basal cell carcinoma removed off my face this week. Not a big deal. Just an inconvenient one.

Stitches run from the bottom of my nose straight through my top lip. Dark ones, bandage not allowed, so there's no hiding them.
My lip is currently four times its normal size. I look like a clown who lost a fight with Frankenstein.
So all my zooms or venturing outdoors, the mask is ON. At least my co-worker Claude isn't judging me. Mask comes off the second I switch over to working with AI tools.
Side note: How did we all wear these things every single day for two years?
Wear your sunblock. EVERY day, even the cloudy ones. Especially fair-skinned peeps.
Should be back to my regular face by end of next week.
Sometimes you just have to power through. Stitches on your face, swollen lip, looking like you lost a boxing match. The work doesn't stop.
The key takeaway? Sunblock is non-negotiable. Your future self will thank you.
What's the weirdest thing you've powered through on a client zoom or in-person meeting?
